Adapting Our Concept

After a month of modeling for this module we discovered by our module leader that many other groups also had the same idea that we had, for a spinning globe. This somewhat damped our enthusiasm for it as we realised it was no longer an original idea. So we had a re-think to how we would change our approach for the better, whilst still aiming to keep and use the basic modeling we had done so far.

I next took inspiration from the "Visit Scotland" "Visit Australia" videos and advertisements that have been seen on the television and also the Internet. They caught my eye as they are very create a very appealing and attractive end result, showing the country in the best possible light, which is exactly what we intend to do with our client. I started to study some of these videos and took notes and ideas of how we can create our own, I feel that the format will work very well with Essex. Mainly because these videos tend to show the viewer places or activities that they did not know existed in them country's, exactly how I intend to change the perception of Essex through an appalling and educational video.

We wanted to gear the whole process towards good quality renders to produce a professional result that is really aimed in the correct direction from the group up, from lighting, cameras, animation etc.
